Living Obituaries also serve as excellent individual biographies, curriculum vitae, and resumes. On those occasions when you are asked to provide information for a job search, executive profile, or board screening, the Living Obituary is a helpful document to have on hand. Additionally, a Living Obituary can serve as the genesis of your life story, biography, or novel.

Q: Why do I need a living obituary?

A: Quite simply, to get the story right, to leave a correct assessment of your life and your accomplishments, and to dictate what church or non-profit should benefit from your estate, should that be important to you in life. Most importantly, you relieve your family of a difficult undertaking during an emotional and stressful time.

Q: Who gets a copy when done?
A: You receive a final copy either electronically or on paper, along with an appropriate photo representation of yourself. We keep another copy on file.

Q: How do I make updates?
A: Two update sessions come with the package. After that a small charge is assumed by the client, you.

Q: What happens to the obituary when I die?
A: Your family (or executor of your estate/attorney) notifies us, we make final corrections at no extra charge, and then send the obituary to three destinations previously decided upon by you (home town newspaper, alma mater, etc.). If the family has lost your obituary or misplaced it, we will have a master copy and provide it to your family at no additional cost.

Q: I don't think my life was too exciting. What would you write about?
A: Everyone's life is important. Our job will be to help you identify those moments in your life that perhaps made a difference to those around you, or, at the very least, help you insure that the details of your life are correct -- birth date, place of birth, surviving family members, educational background, military service (if applicable), etc.
